The process begins with your measurements, fabric choice and style selections. A personal pattern is cut specifically to accommodate the needs of each customer. Your garment is hand-tailored by our expert craftsmen and then fitted to conform to the unique size, shape and proportions of your body. We create a garment for you and only you. If you don't fit the standard size, tailor-made is a necessity.
You don't have to settle for the one or two gray pinstripe suits you would find on the rack in a department store. We offer you gray pinstripes in a variety of fabrics, shades, weights, textures, etc.; dozens of styling options - vest or no vest; center or side vent; slash pockets, flap pockets, straight pockets or no pockets, one-two-three, or four-buttons. Plus an almost infinite range of detailing options.

Depending on Fabric Quality, Suits range from $1,000 to $6,000. Shirts are $165 to $400. Sports Coats range $600 to $2,500. Slacks start at $300. Tuxedos, Topcoats, Evening Gowns start at $1,200.
We require a non-refundable 50% deposit with each order. The remaining balance is due when the garment is ready for delivery.
Clients are typically scheduled for the first fitting within 10 - 15 business days from the receipt of your order, fabric selections and paid deposit. Finished garments are generally ready within 10-15 days after you approve the first fitting. Evening Gowns and Wedding dresses require an additional 10 business days.
Major style changes are not allowed after a garment has been cut. Cancellations are not allowed after the fabric has been ordered.
We accommodate special requests on a case by case basis. They require the written approval of our shipping/production department. Additional charges of up to 25% may apply.
We ship via Federal Express or as specified by you. We insure packages for full value, unless otherwise instructed. All shipping and postage charges for delivery will be charged to the customer.
Customers who fail to pick up, or pay for; garments by the third notification will forfeit their deposit. We also reserve the right to dispose of such abandoned merchandise at our discretion.
Yes. We require written notice of any problem with your garment within five (5) days after you receive it. Upon return of the garment, we will inspect it and inform you of the action to be taken. Garments requiring alterations after thirty (30) days from our shipping date will incur alteration charges. Garments that have been worn, or otherwise soiled, must be dry-cleaned before being returned. We will not honor any bill for alterations to HAJ Designs garments made by a third-party. A charge will be made to cover the cost of labor and materials for alterations that involve changes from the original measurements, styling, or specifications.
We also provide alteration services for our clients existing garments.
No. Just send us your measurements via mail to HAJ Designs, 355 East Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60611 or send the measurements via email. However, all fittings, excluding shirts and slacks, require an in-person meeting for the first order.
